Kappa Alpha Theta sorority placed on interim suspension

Kappa Alpha Theta sorority was placed on temporary suspension today after the chapter and its members allegedly violated terms of university conduct policy during the new member education period, according to the Lehigh Greeks blog.

The blog says allegations against the chapter include endangering the health and safety of other students, providing alcohol to minors and failure to follow the chapter’s approved new member plan.

According to the blog, the Office of Student Conduct and Community Expectations will begin an investigation. Chapter members are not permitted to conduct any chapter operations during the investigation and pending the resolution of the allegations. This includes all new member education activities.

“Active chapter members are also to have no further contact with any new members of the Epsilon Rho Chapter in any way (personally, electronic, through third parties, etc.) until further notice,” the blog says.
