Lehigh Remembers: Sept. 11 flag display commemorates lost lives

0

Student Senate is holding its second annual Sept. 11 flag memorial to honor the thousands of Americans who lost their lives 14 years ago. On that day, Lehigh lost eight alumni and four parents of alumni.

To memorialize the events of Sept. 11, 2,977 American flags will be placed on the UC front lawn by more than 300 student volunteers from organizations across campus. There is one flag to represent each life that was lost.

It is encouraged to use the hashtag #LUremembers when posting pictures of the memorial on social media.
