Lehigh tuition to increase by 4.5 percent in 2016-17 academic year

Lehigh’s board of trustees approved a 4.5 percent increase in undergraduate tuition for the 2016-17 academic year.

Tuition will increase by $2,060, from $45,860 to $47,920. The total cost of attending Lehigh as an undergraduate will now be approximately $61,010 — including tuition, typical room and board charges and the undergraduate technology fee.

This increase results in the university’s cost of attendance being more than $60,000 for the first time. For the 2015-16 academic year, tuition increased by 3 percent, bringing the total cost of attendance to approximately $58,510. For the 2014-15 academic year, there was again a 3 percent increase in tuition, bringing the total cost of attendance to approximately $56,770. Tuition has increased by approximately $4,240 over the past three years.
