Lehigh women’s soccer takes down rival Lafayette, 1-0

After taking an early lead, the Lehigh women’s soccer team defeated rival Lafayette College for the third year in a row, 1-0, Wednesday night in Easton.

Senior forward Tori Pantaleo scored the game’s lone goal in the eighth minute. Freshman midfielder Annika Jansa assisted the goal.

Freshman forward Sidonie Warnecker contributed four of the Mountain Hawks’ eight shots on goal. The Hawks allowed five shots on goal, all of which were saved by freshman goalkeeper Sam Miller, who recorded her 11th shutout of the season.

This win improves Lehigh’s conference record to 3-3-1, placing Lehigh fourth in the Patriot League with two conference games left in the regular season.

The Mountain Hawks will travel to Bucknell University on Oct. 22 to play their last road game of the regular season at 7 p.m.
