Fifth-year senior offensive lineman Zach Duffy and senior wide receiver Troy Pelletier have both accepted invites from NFL teams to join a rookie minicamp this spring. Duffy will join the Indianapolis Colts’ camp while Pelletier will head to the Philadelphia Eagles’ camp.
The two Patriot League champs will compete in a three-day camp with several other rookies, drafted and undrafted, for a chance to catch the eye of their respective coaching staffs and earn a rookie contract with the team. Pelletier and Duffy will be the second and third Mountain Hawk alumni to receive NFL rookie minicamp invites following Nick Shafnisky, ‘17, who earned an invite to the Eagles’ minicamp last year.
Duffy made the most of his fifth year of eligibility in brown and white, as he started all 12 games and earned All-Patriot League first team laurels for a second straight year. He played a key role on a line that helped junior Dom Bragalone earn Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year in addition to All-American honors. The Colts’ rookie minicamp will take place May 11-13.
Pelletier completed his collegiate career owning nearly every statistical record for a Lehigh receiver. Pelletier set the Lehigh single season record for receptions with 105 and the Patriot League record in career touchdown receptions with 37. He also became the Lehigh and Patriot League leader in career receptions (328) and receiving yards (4216). His historic season earned him a spot on the All-Patriot League first team. The dates for the Eagles’ rookie minicamp have yet to be released, but it has historically taken place approximately two weeks after the draft.
Pelletier and Duffy will look to become the first Lehigh alumni to make an NFL roster since Ryan Spadola in 2013.
