President Simon makes a Le-Laf banner

During Rivalry week leading up to the Lehigh-Lafayette football game, students decorate banners making fun of Lafayette and hang them on various residence halls and off-campus houses.

President John Simon joined in on the tradition by holding an Instagram contest to determine which banner to hang from his house. The winning caption, submitted by Isabel Standbridge ’19 was, “Lafayette alumni send their kids to Lehigh.”

According to a email from Simon, someone unsuccessfully attempted to rip down the banner from his house the night he hung it up on Nov. 13. After repairing and rehanging the banner, it was stolen on the night of Nov. 14.
