The Brown and White was on scene for protests in Bethlehem and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, throughout the day. Between the two cities, thousands gathered to demonstrate peacefully against the killing of George Floyd, an unarmed black man killed by a Minneapolis police officer.
The police officer is seen in video kneeling on Floyd’s neck while Floyd is handcuffed and pleading with the officer that he couldn’t breathe. The act of police brutality has sparked similar demonstrations in dozens of other U.S. cities, including others in Pennsylvania.

It looks like the protests were effective in Bethlehem. Here in Atlanta the protests seemed to be hi-jacked by those interested in mayhem. After a peaceful protest, a riot broke out at the start/end location and after the rioters destroy what they could they moved uptown to Buckhead to continue. It was a racially mixed crowd that ignored pleas to disperse from city officials, T.I. and Killer Mike. Most had masks but everyone had cell phones in photo mode. When are thugish police going to get the message? Protect and serve is a joke for some men in blue, who should be an embarrassment to the ones who do protect and serve.
