TIMELINE: The History of Lehigh University’s Presidents

After the departure of Alice P. Gast from Lehigh University to become the president of Imperial College, London, Lehigh began the search for its 14th president. Kevin L. Clayton started as the interim president on August 1, 2014, as the search continued. On October 17, 2014, Lehigh University appointed John D. Simon as its 14th president to take office in July 2015.
