A Lehigh student was apprehended after he cut another Lehigh student in the arm and leg with a knife around midnight Nov. 14, according to an email from Lehigh Chief of Police Edward Shupp.

Words were exchanged between the victim and the suspect when they met on Brodhead Avenue near Summit Street, which resulted in the knife attack. The victim said he recognized the attacker from an off-campus party earlier that night.

After the attack, the victim said he saw the student flee toward the Alumni Memorial Building, according to the email. The victim described the suspect as a white male with blonde hair and blue eyes in his twenties, wearing a blue dress shirt and dark pants.

The victim was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital and treated for his injuries. The attacker was apprehended and identified as a Lehigh student, according to a follow-up email.
