The shutout streak stays alive.

The Lehigh women’s soccer team has still not allowed a goal this season after defeating Holy Cross, 1-0, Saturday in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Lehigh (6-0-1) pushes its win streak to six games, one win away from tying a school record for most wins in a row in a season. The team has also set a record for most shutouts in a season, beating its previous record of five in 2005.

After a scoreless first half, Lehigh took the lead in the 56th minute when freshman Sidonie Warnecker put one in the back of the net. It was Warnecker’s second goal of the season.

The Mountain Hawks only ended up allowing four total shots, only one of which was on goal. Conversely, Lehigh only had three shots on goal of its own.

The team will return home on Sept. 20 to face Temple at 5 p.m.
