Two instances of alleged sexual assault have been reported by students to the LUPD in the last week.

On Aug. 28, the LUPD received a report from a female student that she had been sexually assaulted by a male student in an off-campus apartment early that morning. Lehigh Chief of Police Edward Shupp notified the community in a safety bulletin email. He said the LUPD is working with the Bethlehem Police Department to investigate the alleged assault.

Earlier this week, on Aug. 23, community members were notified in another safety bulletin by Shupp that the department received a report from a female student of a sexual assault by a male student in an on-campus residential facility.

The Brown and White reached out to the LUPD for comment.
