Bethlehem police and forensics investigators were called to the corner of East Fifth and Polk streets to investigate the vandalism of a Lehigh graduate student’s car, which had footprints on the hood and roof and a broken back windshield.

Laura Casale, ’15, the owner of the vehicle, said that nothing was taken from inside the car and that police estimated the vandalism happened around 11 a.m. on Nov. 6. The incident was reported by Campus Hill real estate employees conducting routine checks.

A Bethlehem police officer said though there is a surveillance camera located on the opposite side of the street, there was nothing recovered from the footage review.

Bethlehem Police Department’s officer Justin Madera collected footprint evidence but said that because there was no activity caught on camera, it would be difficult to find the perpetrator unless another crime were to occur where similar prints were collected.
