Lehigh transportation begins new bus routes

1

Transportation & Parking Services has rolled out a new campus bus route for the start of the 2016-17 academic year.

These new routes are part of the campus-wide initiative to improve transportation services on campus. The routes have been in the planning process since last fall and were finally introduced on Aug. 29.

The Campus Connector route covers Saucon Village, Goodman Campus, Mountaintop Campus and Asa Packer Campus from 7:30 a.m. to 10:50 p.m. This route replaces the weekday Saucon Village Route.

The Mountaintop Express route offers express service between the Asa Packer Campus and the Mountaintop Campus from 7:30 a.m. to 5:50 p.m. This route replaces the weekday Mountaintop Campus Route.

The Packer Express route offer a 12 minute loop of the Asa Packer Campus from 8:10 a.m. to 6:50 p.m. The late night TRACS route will stay the same as previous years.

The buses can be tracked in real time at bus.lehigh.edu. More information can be found on Lehigh transportation’s Twitter.

When will Lehigh begin offering some type of a shuttle to the airports for the holidays? For the amount of students they have traveling from all over the country it would be greatly appreciated. Many other colleges already offer shuttles for Thanksgiving, Winter and Spring Break.
