It looks like underage students are trying to get into bars, and the Southside bars have noticed. Professional security work at F&A Grog House on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

According to the manager, employees at the bar have been taught how to identify a fake ID through what’s called the Responsible Alcohol Management Program. And Molly’s Irish Grille and Sports Pub are now using new scanners that are able to recognize a fake ID.

The UC and Hawk’s Nest are set to close for renovations starting in the spring.

In other words, you better get used to Rathbone. During the renovation, Lower and Upper Cort will shut down their services. The UC will also be closing their event spaces and offices. Normal UC services will return in the spring of 2025. The retail options at Upper Court, which include Chick-N-Bap, Tres Habaneros, and Mein Bowl, will be moving to Lamberton Hall. Hawk’s Nest will also be closed in November, but don’t worry, it will reopen in the spring.
