Have you been craving something sweet?

Donerds Donuts is adding a bit of color and sweetness to East Fourth Street.

Co-owners Annabel Figueroa and Andrew Underwood say they’re in the science of producing the perfect donut and coffee.

They started their business just under a decade ago in Santiago, Chile, and opened their South Bethlehem location on Aug. 3.

You can try them out for yourself on the corner of East Fourth Street and New Street, right next to Subway.

They offer student discounts and an opportunity to win a free donut by solving a Rubik’s Cube.

In other news, the Lehigh University Art Gallery hosted an after-hours, back-to-school block party event on Friday, Sept. 8

Students enjoyed live music, food, refreshments, and of course, art.

For more information about after-school events, stay up to date with Lehigh After Dark.

This semester, Lehigh is piloting a new, flat-rate, course-material rental program called Learning Unlimited.

Under this program, a flat rate of $375 will be charged to students’ Bursar accounts each semester in order to pay for physical and digital textbooks.

University Business Services wrote in an email that the program was designed to save students time and money.

However, for students taking courses with required materials totaling less than $375, the program is just another added cost to this semester’s tuition.

Students do have the option to opt out of the program, but the deadline for opting out for this semester has passed.

So, if you’d like to opt-out but didn’t, make sure to do so next semester.
