Lehigh University suspended all men’s swim team-related activities pending hazing violations as of Sept. 15.
Having been reported my multiple swim news sites and confirmed by an individual with knowledge of the decision, the men’s swim team activities are suspended while the investigation is underway.
Lehigh’s hazing policies include any “behaviors that are based on a power imbalance between current and new members; may involve activities that ridicule, embarrass or humiliate.”
If allegations are confirmed, this will not be the first time the program has violated Lehigh’s hazing policies, as the team was penalized in 2020 for forcing team members to participate in early morning “punishment swims.”
Their season is scheduled to begin on Oct. 10 against Loyola at home.
This is a developing story.
