0

How is Black History Month experienced by students of color at Lehigh University, a predominantly white university?

Students, Karen Valerio, ’17, Jese Camilo, ’17, Richard Adu-Poku, ’18 and Gwladys Boukpessi, ’18, join me in answering that question in this podcast. Here we share the conversations, feelings and thoughts we’ve had ranging from personal stories of the first time we experienced difference because we were black to criticisms of Beyonce. In this conversation, we delve deep into the minds of students of color on campus during Black History Month at Lehigh University.

March 1st may mark the end of Black History Month but the conversations, emotions and celebration of Black history are continued long after February 28th.
