Former Lehigh football wide receiver Ryan Spadola has moved on to his fifth NFL team in three seasons.
On Oct. 20, the Detroit Lions announced that they signed Spadola to replace the spot of tackle Jordan Mills, who the Buffalo Bills signed to their own practice squad. This is Spadola’s first time on an NFL team since being released by the Arizona Cardinals in August.
Spadola has also spent time with the Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons and Cardinals since being signed as an undrafted free agent in 2013.
The former Mountain Hawk has the chance of being called up to the main roster if the Lions choose to do so. Spadola finished his Lehigh career with 3,611 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns.
