Vince Munley to step down as Lehigh deputy provost for faculty affairs

Vince Munley, ’74, Lehigh’s deputy provost for faculty affairs, will step down from his position on January 20, 2017, according to an email from Provost Pat Farrell.

Munley has held this position since September 2010. Throughout his time at Lehigh, he has worked with faculty issues such as tenure and promotional policies, faculty work-life balance and Lehigh’s two ADVANCE grants, according to the email.

He will leave for the Spring 2017 semester, but will return in the fall of 2017 to go back to being a professor in the department of economics in the College of Business of Economics. Munley has been a professor of economics at Lehigh for several decades, serving as a professor since 1980. He was also chair of the department from 1993-1999.

Farrell wrote that he will be forming a search committee to find a successor for Munley.
