Carter Gilbert will leave the Office of Fraternity and Sorority affairs to assume the role of assistant director of Greek leadership, according to a post on the Lehigh Greeks blog.
The new position, which moves Gilbert to the Office of Leadership Development, will involve collaborating with both offices to advise councils, chapters and individuals about leadership, as well as supervising leadership consultants and peer education programs. The position and its responsibilities will emphasize “inclusive leadership, collaboration and leadership advocacy,” according to the post.
Gilbert, who is currently an assistant director in the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs, advised the Multicultural Greek Council, Greek Allies and 11 other organizations, as well as headed the renewal of the Courageous Conversations program. He worked in the office for nearly two years.
Gilbert will assume his new role July 1.
