Lehigh will host the 43rd President of the United States George W. Bush on Oct. 29 to discuss civic service, democracy and leadership.
Compelling Perspectives is a speaker series where guests engage in conversations regarding the year’s designated topic. Last year’s theme was “AI: Innovation, Responsibility and the Future We Shape.”
This year, Helble will be joined by former president Bush. According to an email sent to the Lehigh community, this year’s theme was chosen in honor of 250 years since the founding of the United States.
The theme’s purpose is to examine how institutions and communities can strengthen democracy, foster civic responsibility and create purposeful conversations all throughout the political spectrum.
